You need:

  • Torx screwdriver (size 6)

  • Battery replacement kit from Simple Hardware (insulation foam, 2x double-sided tape, hot-air shrinkable foil)

  • 2x battery

SimpleIndustry meets IEC 60068-2-31 Rough Handling Shock Testing norm requirements both at 750mm and 1000mm with the battery tape fixing. For repeated bounces e.g. on the yachts or with repeated pallet throwing we recommend using/replacing the shrinkable battery foil as well.

The MIL-STD-810H can only be met with SimplePack/NEXTPack due to the minimal weight of the SimplePack/NEXTPack.

Batteries

2xAA size primary(non-rechargeable) Li-SOCl2 3.6V batteries

Any type that matches the constant current rating can be used:

SimpleIndustry RC1/3 without WiFi sniffing

50mA

SimpleIndustry RC1/3 with WiFi

70mA

SimpleIndustry RC2/4

100mA

NEXTIndustry Standard power without WiFi

NEXTIndustry High power

70mA

Simple Hardware mostly uses:

Fanso spiral type ER14505M with a rating of 400mA and 2200 mAh

Tadiran, EVE, HCB, and Saft can be used for the appropriate type

For the up to 60mA rating requirements, any quality bobbin-type battery will do.

For the 70mA and up spiral type should be used currently provided by Fanso and HCB

Look for primary (non-rechargeable), 3.6V, AA size, Terminal type - standard connector.

Battery shipment from Simple Hardware

We are currently investigating options for shipment over Europe. Shipment of batteries only via airfreight is very cumbersome and expensive.

Please contact us if you need any help or guidance
