Simple Pack disarm in Press Me mode

David Zencak 4 months ago in SimplePack • updated by Roger 2 months ago 4

Testing SimplePack firmware v4. Based on documentation, it is possible to disarm SP in Press Me mode. I loaded 0132070000ffffff for press me mode and later 1000000000000000 to disarm the device. All ACK messages confirmed in backend. SP is still sending callbacks after short/double pressing the button. Is it a feature "protecting" SP for possible long press to load a new downlink message and I should handle it in the code on server side? If yes, what is a "disarm" function in press mode designed for?

Arm disarm is relevant only in Press me mode...API is written in such a way that you can switch to Press me mode and at the same time provide other parameters.

David - I feel your pain .. the documentation is either cryptic, meagre or both. I'm curious why you send the device 01 32 07 00 00 ff ff ff to activate Press Me ... I'd have thought 0132000000000000 (only the first two bytes are used...).

@SimpleHW support -- what do you mean "Arm disarm is relevant only in Press me mode" ... other modes have parameters based on device arming.
